PMPML generates Rs 19 crore revenue during Ganeshotsav ; over 1 crore passengers use PMPML buses

Pune: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal (PMPML) has generated a revenue of Rs 18 crore 75 lakh during the Ganpati festival.

As per data & further information provided by Satish Gate, PRO, PMPML, the PMPML saw an astounding 1,21,24,808 travellers use PMPML buses during Ganeshotsav.

During the festival, PMPML provided service to passengers throughout the night. For this, more than 600 additional buses were planned to be released. For this, all the officers and employees had their vacations cancelled and they were assigned to the depot. A bus service was provided for those coming to see the Ganesh Mandals in Pune.

During the Ganesh festival, special bus services were provided according to the passenger rush at the stands for the convenience of citizens. For bus services after 10:00 p.m., an additional fare of Rs 5 was levied in the prevailing fare. Since this night bus service offered during the Ganeshotsav period was a special bus service, the pass discount was kept for all pass holders till midnight.
