PMPML to run buses on 11 new long distance routes from Dec 25
After several successful initiatives launched in the past few months, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) now launches another initiative by introducing buses on 11 long distance routes. Termed as ‘LTD’, this initiative shall have rapid services wherein the number of stops shall be reduced for select services. This model of PMPML buses is inspired from the fast locals from Mumbai or Durronto Express run by the Indian Railways, further ensuring that the passengers reach their travel destination faster.
Chairman and Managing director of PMPML, Rajendra Jagtap informed that the initiative shall be launched on December 25.
The bus service shall be available on 11 new routes, having reduced number of stops, The distance of about 20 – 40 kms shall be covered in this bus service, with number of stops from 30 to 84. These LTD bus service shall operate at a frequency of 25 mins to 1 hour. E buses shall be used for this LTD bus service but the bus tickets rates are nominal.
