Pune: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has appealed to all plot holders, coming under PMRDA limits, to submit applications & valid documents for unauthorized plots by April 30, 2024.

As per further information shared by the PMRDA, Section 3 (1) of the Maharashtra Gunthewari Developments (Regularisation, Upgradation and Control) Act, 2001 has been amended on March 12, 2021, to provide for regularization of plots/structures in unauthorized plots existing on privately owned sites before December 31, 2020.

Unauthorized constructions existing on privately owned plots within the limits of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority and plots under unauthorized occupation were notified through a public notice to the plot holders to submit applications and documents up to October 31, 2023, on the condition of fulfilling valid documents and other regulations. However, considering the scope of the authority area, for six months onwards from the said period. The extension is being given till April 30, 2024.

Hence, through this notice, it is once again requested that the plot holders of unauthorized constructions existing on privately owned plots within the limits of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority as well as plots under unauthorized constructions should submit their applications along with valid documents to the office of Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority at Akurdi on or before April 30, 2024.

Please note that unauthorized construction/plot holders who do not submit their applications within the above-mentioned period will be subject to appropriate action under Sections 52 and 53 of the Maharashtra Regional Planning and Town Planning Act, 1966.
