Positive Response From Citizens To ‘Meet I
The Police Commissioner’ Initiative In Pimpri Chinchwad
Pimpri Chinchwad, March 17, 2026: The “Meet the Police Commissioner” initiative launched by Vinay Kumar Choubey, Commissioner of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, has received encouraging participation from citizens, with residents actively sharing their complaints, suggestions, and concerns.
The initiative, which began on March 9, aims to create a direct platform for citizens to interact with senior police officials and seek prompt resolution of their issues. As part of the programme, residents can meet the Police Commissioner every Monday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm without prior appointment.
The second session of the initiative was held on March 16, where 51 citizens attended the meeting and presented their grievances and suggestions before the senior officials.
During the interaction, Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey was present along with Joint Commissioner of Police Shashikant Mahavarkar and Additional Commissioners of Police Sarang Awad and Basavaraj Teli. All Deputy Commissioners of Police attended the session in person, while Assistant Commissioners and Police Station In-Charge officers participated through video conferencing.
Officials carefully heard the complaints and suggestions raised by the citizens and assured appropriate action for resolving the issues.
The programme had also received a strong response during its first session last Monday, which saw 76 citizens participating. Many attendees appreciated the initiative and expressed satisfaction over the opportunity to directly interact with senior police authorities.
The Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has urged citizens to continue participating in the weekly sessions and present their complaints, issues, and suggestions directly to the Police Commissioner for effective resolution.
