Prasad Oak and Saurabh Gadgil Honored with ‘Pride of BMCC’ Award On Feb 9 In Pune
PUNE: The Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC) Alumni Association has announced that renowned actor Prasad Oak and PNG Jewellers’ Director Saurabh Gadgil will be honored with the ‘Pride of BMCC’ award. Additionally, retired professors Dr. Vasudha Garde, Head of the D.G. Karve Research Chair, and former Vice-Principal Dr. Sanjay Kandalgavkar will be felicitated with the BMCC Guruvarya Award.
The awards will be presented at the alumni gathering on Sunday, February 9, at the college’s Tata Auditorium. Veteran actor Mohan Joshi and Dr. Suhas Divase, Commissioner of Land Records and Settlement, will present the awards. This announcement was made by BMCC Alumni Association President Arun Nimhan, Secretary Suhas Patwardhan, and Principal Dr. Rajesh Kuchekar.
Recognition for Excellence in Various Fields
The event will also recognize several other distinguished individuals:
- Businessman Rajkumar Nahar will receive the Udyogbhushan Award.
- Retired Air Vice Marshal Jayant Inamdar will be honored with the Shaheed Major Kunal Gosavi Shaurya Award.
- Journalist Prasad Panse will receive the Varunraj Bhide Award.
- Actor Atharva Karve will be presented with the Suhas Kulkarni Natya Award.
- Singer Amruta Khadilkar-Natu will be honored with the Balasaheb Sarpotdar Award.
- Tennis player Vaishnavi Adkar and roller-skating champion Mrugnayani Shinde will receive the Shivram Phalnikar Award.
