President’s Police Medal awarded to four police officers from Pune

IPS officer Rajendra Dahale, the director of the Maharashtra Intelligence Academy in Pune, along with assistant commissioner of police Satish Govekar from the city’s crime branch, were selected to receive the President’s Police Medal on the occasion of Independence Day this Wednesday.
Assistant sub-inspectors Prakash Waghmare and Anil Kale, who are assigned to the local crime branch and headquarters of the Pune Rural police, were also recognized for the President’s Police Medal.
Nine police personnel from the rural police working in Naxalite regions have also been selected for the special service medal. Additionally, Nitin Waychal, the principal of the Daulatrao Jadhav Jail Officers’ Training Institute in Yerawada, has been honored with the President Medal for his meritorious service.
Twenty-seven police personnel from the Pimpri Chinchwad police, including senior inspectors Mahesh Bansode and Tejaswini Kadam, have received the special service medal for their work in Naxal-affected areas. Additionally, four constables from Pimpri Chinchwad have been honored with the state director general of police insignia.
