Pune Traffic Police issues provisional orders for ban on entry of cargo vehicles in city
Pune Traffic Police have prohibited vehicular movement of heavy vehicles on various roads of Pune-Nagar Road from 20th February to 5th March 2024.
As per further information from Pune Traffic Police, a large increase in the number of vehicles in the city of Pune and various large projects (metro, flyover, various development works) are going on the Pune. Heavy vehicles are occupying the road space on a large scale due to which the traffic is obstructed. This causes great danger and inconvenience to citizens.
Hence, to avoid danger, hindrance and inconvenience to the public, orders on an experimental basis have been issued regarding the movement of heavy vehicles.
· All types of heavy, bulky, slow speed vehicles (dumpers, RMC mixers, JCBs, road rollers and other similar vehicles) at the following places / roads in Pune city, as well as on other internal roads connecting these main roads, are prohibited from travelling & parking (Excluding essential service vehicles e.g. fire brigade, police vehicles, ambulances, PMPML & private buses etc):

However, if citizens have any suggestions / objections in this regard, they may send them to the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pune Traffic Police, Yerawada Post Office, Bangla no. 6, Jail Road, Pune 41006 between 20/2/2024 to 5/3/2024. Final orders will be issued after considering the suggestions and objections of the citizens.
