These four women had raised slogans favouring NCP and criticizing BJP which is when they were identified as ’NCP sympathisers’. They allege that they were manhandled, threatened, abused and beaten up by the BJP supporters.

Earlier in the day, at an event held at JW Marriott in Pune, NCP had staged an agitation against Irani at Senapati Bapat Road. NCP party members reminded Minister Irani that she had also protested against the gas cyclinder price hike in 2014.

All through the route that the minister took, black flags were waved and slogans were raised.
