Pune: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) will be halting the bus services on 13 routes in rural Pune following the withdrawal of the strike by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) and resuming of bus services on these routes.

The PMPML had started providing bus services on these routes as Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) buses were not operating due to a strike.
The strike which started on October 29, 2021, concluded on April 25, 2022.
Ever since the MSRTC buses started operations, the state transport body had asked PMPML to shop the services multiple times.

“We will be issuing the order at the earliest. The service was started as a strike was going on. Now with the strike is withdrawn, people will not face any problems with daily commuting,” said Chetna Kerure, joint managing director, PMPML.

In Pune Municipal Corporation and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, a total of 1590 PMPML buses are operating.
