Pune: 12 year old boy from Alandi orphanage physically abused by caretaker
Pune: Police Arrest Mother for Son's Murder Amid Family Dispute
A disturbing incident of physical assault has come to light in the pilgrimage town of Alandi, where a 12-year-old orphan was abused by a caretaker at a residential institution for orphans, Shree Mauli Krupa Annadaan Sanstha, Khed Taluka, Pune. According to police, the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, when Venkatesh Kashinath Madnoor, a supervisor at the institution, entered the victim’s room and took him to the TV room. The accused then sexually assaulted the boy while showing him content on his mobile phone.
The victim, who resides at the institution and studies at an external educational institution, filed a complaint with the Alandi police station. Following the complaint, police arrested the accused and are currently investigating the matter. A case has been registered under Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, under Section 4, 6 and 8.
This incident raises concerns about the safety and well-being of vulnerable children in residential institutions and highlights the need for stringent measures to prevent such heinous crimes.
