Pume: 15-Day Ultimatum Issued For Road Repairs In Maan - Hinjawadi and Shivaji Nagar: PMRDA Commissioner Serves Notice To PITCMRL
Pune/Pimpri (September 6): Due to the poor condition of roads in the Maan-Hinjawadi to Shivajinagar area, both commuters and residents have been facing several difficulties. Acknowledging this issue, Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase has issued a notice to Pune ITCT Metro Rail Limited (PITCMRL), the concessionaire responsible for Metro Line 3 under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, from Man-Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar. The notice directs the concerned authority to complete the road repairs within 15 days.
“PITCMRL is responsible for the road as part of the Metro Line 3 project. However, over the past few days, the deteriorating condition of the road has caused distress to citizens and vehicle owners alike. Consequently, PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase issued a notice to PITCMRL on Thursday (September 5), giving them an ultimatum to repair the road within the next 15 days. The notice clearly states that if the work is not completed within this period, operations on Section 1 of the metro project will be halted,” said – Dr. Dnyaneshwar Bhale, Public Relations Officer, PMRDA.
