The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has received nineteen bids from various companies for the construction of the east and west corridors of the ring road. This project aims to enhance connectivity and infrastructure across the region. The total length of the ring road is 136 km, with the eastern section spanning 71.35 km and the western section covering 65.45 km.
The construction will proceed in phases, with the western portion divided into five phases and the eastern portion into four. Each phase will focus on specific lengths of road, totaling 110 meters in width. Land acquisition for the western region is nearly 80% complete, facilitating the construction process.

The project includes the development of eight tunnels, three small bridges, two large bridges, and a half-kilometer bridge over the Khadakwasla dam backwater. This infrastructure will enhance transportation and connectivity in the region, benefiting local communities and businesses. The authorities plan to commence work on the five phases simultaneously, ensuring efficient progress.

The western ring road will traverse through Bhor, Haveli, Mulshi, and Maval talukas, while the eastern ring road will pass through Maval, Khed, Haveli, Purandar, and Bhor talukas. While the MSRDC has allocated ₹10,519 crore for the project, concerns have arisen regarding financial impropriety during the land acquisition process.

District collector Suhas Diwase highlighted the importance of transparency and accountability in addressing complaints of financial misconduct. It is crucial to ensure fair treatment of farmers and citizens affected by the project, maintaining the integrity of the development process.
