Pune: 28 Year Old Resident Doctor At Ruby Hall Clinic Dies By Suicide
A tragic incident unfolded at Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune, where 28-year-old resident doctor Shyam Vora was found dead by suicide in his hostel room. The incident came to light around 10 PM on Sunday.
Dr. Vora, who worked at the well-known Ruby Hall Clinic, was found hanging in his room at the doctors’ hostel. When the door remained closed for an unusually long time, a security guard broke it open and discovered the doctor hanging.
The Koregaon Police Station is currently investigating the case. While the exact reason for the suicide remains unknown, police recovered a note where Dr. Vora had written the password to his mobile phone. The authorities are analyzing the phone and its contents as part of their inquiry.
Meanwhile, the grieving family, currently in Gujarat, has made a specific request to the administration: they asked for no further action to be taken until they arrive in Pune. The investigation will continue in accordance with their wishes.
Meanwhile, the hospital authorities have issued a statement.
Manjusha Kulkarni, Legal Advisor, Ruby Hall Clinic stated, “We are deeply saddened to share the unfortunate news that one of our resident doctors, Dr. Shyam Vora, has tragically passed away apparently by suicide in his hostel room. The matter is currently under investigation by the police, who have taken charge of the situation.
We would like to clarify that the ongoing media speculation regarding alleged workplace harassment is entirely unfounded and incorrect. We urge the media and public to refrain from drawing conclusions or spreading speculation until the authorities complete their investigation.”
