On Sunday 25th February 2024, on the grounds of the Aundh District Hospital, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated a 30-bed Ayush Hospital which has been developed under the National AYUSH Abhiyan. 

The Hospital has been set up to promote ancient forms of medicine and therapies free of cost for everyone. 

The Hospital will be operational from Monday, 26th February 2024. 

At an estimated cost of Rs. 8.9 crores, the Ayush Hospital will feature a member of facilities including a yoga hall, Ayurvedic room, waiting area record room, canteen, procedure room, scrub room surgery room, recovery room, pre-operative caution room, men’s room, women’s room waiting room, nursing room, Garbhasankar hall, clean room and disinfection room.

Furthermore, The Ayush Hospital will feature amenities for Naturopathy, mud bath naturopathy, Unani and many more. 

The inauguration ceremony of the Ayush Hospital was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of Zila Parishad Pune Ramesh Chavan, BJP MLA Ashwini Jagtap, Deputy Director of Health Services Dr Radhakrishnan Pawar, Dr Sankay Jadhav and Dr Rekha Gaikwad, Assistant Director AYUSH, Dr Ramchandra Hankre, District Civil Surgeon, Dr Nagnath Yempalay and District health officer Dr Sachin Desai.
