Pune, February 5, 2026: An 88-year-old man, Anant Vaman Kulkarni, has been missing from the Pune railway station area for the past four days, triggering serious concern among his family, who have now appealed to the public for help in tracing him.

According to family members, Kulkarni had come to Pune from Dewas to attend a family wedding in the Kothrud area. He went missing on February 2, and despite repeated follow-ups, the family claims that delays in accessing CCTV footage have hampered efforts to trace his movements during the crucial initial hours.

The family stated that police later informed them that on the night of February 2, Kulkarni had reached Shivajinagar Police Station, where he reportedly said he was lost and wished to return home to Dewas. He was subsequently dropped near the Pune railway station late at night, reportedly outside the station premises. Since then, there have been no confirmed leads or CCTV visuals tracking his whereabouts.

Relatives allege that procedural delays in obtaining CCTV footage have resulted in investigators falling behind in real time. “We received footage of February 2 only after two days, and we are now being shown footage of February 3, while every hour is critical,” a family member said.

Given Kulkarni’s advanced age and health condition, the family has expressed grave concern for his safety. They have urged citizens to remain alert and immediately inform the police if they spot him anywhere in Pune or nearby areas.

Police said efforts are ongoing to trace the missing senior citizen, while the family continues to seek wider public support to help locate him at the earliest.
