Prominent Pune based builder Subhash Sanas has allegedly been scammed of more than Rs 4.3 crore by nine individuals.

As per further information from the FIR accessed by Pune Pulse, several documents were purportedly forged by the unidentified perpetrators in order to sell two of his flats in Lullanagar. Remarkably, the bank approved a Rs 5.5 crore loan without properly confirming these forged documents.

When Vitthal Bhore, a worker in Sanas’s office, got a call from DBS Bank India Private Limited demanding payment of the TDS amount, it revealed the fraudulent activity. Bhore aas in hold of power of attorney. The bank sent a copy of the sale deed, a cheque, and a letter addressed to DBS in response to Bhore’s request for documentation pertaining to the transactions. Sanas quickly started inquiring about this and found that he had been deceived by a group of 9 people.

A case has been registered at the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station against 9 accused namely Nitin Patankar, Prachi Patankar, Purushottam Patankar, Vivek Shukla, Milind Gosavi & 4 unidentified accused under Sections 406, 409, 420, 467, 468, 471, 472, 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation is going on.
