Pune : A Unique Photo Exhibition Organized at Balgandharva Art Gallery
Punekars who are enthusiasts in photography shall not miss this vibrant photography exhibition, organized by Pune Photographers & Videographers Association, at Balgandharva Art Gallery.
Speaking at the inauguration event, Abhay Kapre, President of Pune Photographers & Videographers Association, said “This is the 7th photo exhibition organised by us. The overall concept & aim of this exhibition is giving a platform to showcase the works of several commercial photographers. These photographers travel from place to place to capture several beautiful pictures. Hence, we organize this exhibition every year. There is no one theme as such for this exhibition. Here we have several kinds of photography styles like portraits, candid photographs, abstracts etc.”
There are around 200 photographs showcased in the exhibition which are clicked by several commercial photographers.
Speaking at the inauguration event, Dr Rajendra Mahamuni, Retired HOD of Photography Department, Fergusson College, said “Earlier, photography wasn’t looked at as a preferred profession. Now, several kinds of professions in the field of photography such as wedding photography, commercial photography and many more have emerged. Due to this, photography is also getting its due recognition in society. I really appreciate this exhibition as photographers will develop a certain vision about clicking photos. Also, these people have not restricted the types of photographs here. All types like abstract, portrait etc have been put up in this exhibition.”
