Pune : ABVP warns of protest if demands of Fergusson College girls  hostel students are not fulfilled

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has submitted request to the Fergusson College administration regarding the demands of the students residing in Girls’ Hostels in Fergusson College Pune.

As per further information from the social media handle of ABVP “A statement was given by the ABVP to Fergusson College in Pune regarding the various problems and demands of the Girls’ Hostel. At this time, it was warned that if the relevant demands are not met in the next 4 days, ABVP will launch a fierce protest.”

As per further information from the statement,

The girl students residing in the students’ hostel are facing some problems:

·         In the mess of the student hostel, larvae, cockroaches etc are frequently found.

·         The food quality of the mess has gone down a lot. It should be improved.

·         Mess is mandatory for hostel students; however, it should not be made mandatory.

·         It is not allowed to carry lunch box in the mess, it should be provided.

·         A lot of junk keeps lying in the Badminton Hall in the hostel. Hence, the badminton hall is not available for playing.

·         TV is not available in the hostel. It must be made available.

·         There is no tea machine available in the hostel. It must be made available.

·         Library is not there in the hostel. It should be available.

·         Gym is not available in the hostel. It should be available.

·         When the students of the hostel take their complaints to the concerned administration, they are treated rudely.

·         Newspapers are not available in the hostel. They should be made available.

The above problems are not solved even after repeatedly informing the hostel rector. So, the above problems should be solved within the next 4 days, or the ABVP will initiate a severe agitation for the benefit of the students.
