Pune: Action taken on 63 complaints of violation of model code of conduct

Action has been taken on 63 out of 65 complaints of violation of the model code of conduct received by the District Control Room ahead of the Lok Sabha Election.

As per further information, complaints received at the District Control Room on the C-VIGIL portal and on toll free numbers 18002330102 and 1950 are being processed immediately. Complaints are sent to the fixed and fixed teams established in all the 21 assembly constituencies of the district. Immediate action is taken and recorded on the portal.

Election Commission of India has developed the C-Vigil App to report or report code of conduct violations to the Election Commission and District Administration. Citizens can complain directly to the election administration through this mobile app. As soon as a complaint is received on this C-Vigil App, immediate action is taken on it. The name of the complainant is kept confidential.

Flying Squad teams will also take necessary action on the complaint received by the control room on the toll-free number, the administration has appealed to the citizens to report the violation of the code of conduct during the election period to the C-Vigil App or to the control room.
