Pune, January 13, 2026: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar intensified his campaign in Ward No. 4 Kharadi Vadgaonsheri as the Pune Municipal Corporation elections move into their final stage, addressing a series of public meetings and interacting with residents, party workers, and local candidates.

During his interactions, Pawar drew attention to persistent civic challenges faced by residents of the ward, including irregular water supply, deteriorating road conditions, traffic congestion, and inadequate garbage management. He pointed out that despite paying municipal taxes, many citizens are still compelled to rely on private water tankers for their daily needs.

Emphasising that drinking water is a basic necessity, Pawar said the NCP-led municipal administration would accord top priority to ensuring a reliable and sufficient water supply across the ward. He also assured residents that long-term solutions would be implemented to address infrastructure gaps.

On traffic congestion in the Nagar Road–Kharadi–Wagholi corridor, Pawar stated that the issue can be effectively tackled through scientific planning, construction of flyovers, and strict enforcement of traffic discipline. He further expressed concern over the growing influence of the water tanker mafia and assured citizens that decisive action would be taken against illegal operations.

Highlighting the party’s candidates in Ward 4, Pawar said the NCP has fielded a balanced team combining experience with new leadership, backed by a clean public image and administrative competence. He appealed to voters to exercise their franchise on 15 January and extend support to NCP candidates to ensure improved civic services, transparent governance, and sustainable development in Ward 4.
