NCP Presents Detailed Plan to Ease Traffic Congestion in Ward 9
Baner: The Nationalist Congress Party has outlined a comprehensive traffic management plan to resolve congestion in the Sus, Baner and Pashan areas. The plan focuses on road upgrades, coordinated traffic signals, disciplined parking and, where required, new flyovers and underpasses.
The party’s national president and state deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar released a detailed “Progress Report” highlighting completed works, ongoing development and future proposals for the ward. Alongside this, a “Public Interest Charter” reflecting citizen expectations and welfare priorities was also presented.
A key proposal is the improvement of service roads along the outer ring highway to ensure safer and smoother travel. The charter stresses disciplined development, provision of alternative routes and measures to reduce choke points in the area.
Plans have been announced to complete missing link roads and relieve congestion at Radha Chowk, Ram Indu Park and the Jupiter area. Priority corridors include the Wakad–Balewadi road and the Pashan link road, which are seen as essential for making the ward congestion-free.
NCP candidates Gayatri Medhe Kokathe, Baburao Chandere, Parvati Nimhane and Amol Balwadkar said citizens will see faster completion of pending infrastructure works and assured that promises made to residents will be delivered.
