Pune: The road from Malwadi Chowk to Apla Ghar Housing Society is causing significant inconvenience to motorists due to the presence of potholes. Residents are facing a harrowing time while driving on this stretch and have been constantly urging the authorities to expedite the repair work.

The condition of the road is particularly deplorable, and the slow pace or neglect of repair work has only compounded the problems.

While talking to Pune Pulse, Yogita Bagnikar, a resident of Apla Ghar Housing Society stated that the road is riddled with large potholes, broken drainage manhole covers and debris. She further added that the road has never been concretized.

Narendra Hagwane, a member of the Kirkatwadi Development Forum, also spoke to Pune Pulse and revealed that the proposed development plan for the road from Malwadi Chowk to Apna Ghar Society in Kirkatwadi has a width of 12 meters. He emphasized the need for the plan to be finalized and transferred to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) so that the PMC can prioritize the repair work and alleviate the problems faced by the residents.

In response to the situation, Sahebrao Dhangude, Superintendent Engineer, PMC, assured Pune Pulse that the matter is being looked into, and feedback will be provided soon.
