Pune: Bishop’s Education Society In Undri Initiates Legal Action After Protest Disrupts Undri School Operations
Pune, April 18, 2026: The Bishop’s Education Society has issued a formal notice to parents following a serious breach of school protocol at The Bishop’s Co-ed School, Undri on April 15, 2026. The incident involved a group of parents along with unidentified individuals who allegedly trespassed onto school premises and created a disturbance over fee-related concerns.
According to the notice, the group unlawfully assembled outside the counselling department and the main office without prior permission, disrupting regular school functioning. Authorities stated that the protest escalated into aggressive behaviour, causing distress among students and staff. Children attending counselling sessions were particularly affected, as the commotion occurred just outside their rooms.
The school administration further alleged that individuals involved in the incident recorded videos of the Principal and staff members without consent. These recordings were later circulated to media outlets, reportedly with the intent to damage the reputation of the institution and its management.
Emphasizing that student safety and privacy are paramount, the institution confirmed that an internal investigation has been completed and those responsible have been identified. Both civil and criminal proceedings have been initiated against the individuals, with the management stating it will pursue the matter strictly under the law.
In response to the incident, the Society has implemented stricter protocols across all its schools. Entry into school premises will now require prior approved appointments, and all grievances must be addressed through official communication channels. The administration has also warned that any future unauthorized gatherings, protests, or non-consensual recordings on campus will invite immediate police action.
The notice, issued by Honorary Secretary Shayne McPherson, reiterated the institution’s commitment to maintaining a safe and disciplined environment, while acknowledging the continued support of the majority of parents.
