According to police, the incident took place on May 7 between 5 pm and 6 pm at Survey No. 30 in Vadgaon Sheri.

As per the complaint, Ravindra Dugad’s firm had legally acquired around 31 gunthas of land in the area in 2023 in the name of Dugad Infrastructure LLP, while another 3.5 gunthas were purchased in the name of Tejas Pravin Dugad. The complainant stated that all ownership records, including the 7/12 extract, property tax records, electricity meters and water connections, had been transferred to their names after the purchase.

The complainant further claimed that all required permissions for construction work had been obtained, including clearances from the Ministry of Defence, fire department approvals, royalty permissions for minor minerals and controlled blasting permissions. Construction work on the plot had reportedly been ongoing for the past two months.

Police said the complainant received a phone call from his son, Rishabh Dugad, on May 7 informing him that a group led by Amit Lunkad and others had arrived at the site with eight to ten tractors, two to three dumpers and a water tanker. The group allegedly broke the metal sheets of both front gates and entered the plot forcefully with vehicles.

The complainant alleged that security guards at the site were assaulted and threatened during the incident.

Following the information, Ravindra Dugad and his son rushed to the plot, where police officials had also reached. The complaint states that an argument took place at the spot, during which Amit Lunkad allegedly threatened the complainant and claimed ownership over the disputed plot.

Police officials from Viman Nagar police division reportedly intervened and heard both sides. The complainant further alleged that weapons were present inside one of the vehicles used by the accused. However, the accused allegedly left the spot before police could inspect the vehicle.

Police have registered a case for attempting to forcibly take possession of the property and further investigation is underway.

The probe is being conducted by Police.

Earlier too, complaints related to financial disputes had reportedly been filed against Amit Lunkad with the Economic Offences Wing, police said.
