Pune Bypoll Election: EC announces election in Kasba Peth and Chinchwad Legislative assembly
The polling will be held on 27 February 2023 while the counting will be held on March 2.
Pune: The Election Commission of India has decided to hold by-poll election to fill vacancies in two assembly constituencies of Maharashtra, Kasba Peth and Chinchwad in Pune district due to death of Mukta Shailesh Tilak (215 – Kasba Peth AC) and Laxman Pandurang Jagtap (205 Chinchwad AC).
Last date to file for the nominations is February 7.
The polling will be held on 27 February 2023 while the counting will be held on March 2.
Applications will be scrutinized on February 8 and applications can be withdrawn till February 10.
The EC mentioned that the elections should be completed before March 4, 2023.
