Pune, October 23, 2025: This Diwali, the children of Bramha Avenue Society in Kondhwa paid tribute to the legacy of Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by constructing a detailed replica of Sindhudurg Fort, celebrating the festival in a manner reminiscent of centuries-old Maratha traditions.

In an era where Diwali is often marked by loud music and modern entertainment, these young residents focused on history, heritage, and hands-on creativity. They researched the architecture of Sindhudurg Fort and painstakingly recreated it using mud, bricks, stones, and jute sacks, showcasing remarkable dedication and teamwork.

The fort replica, built by Shivraj, Anvit, Shriyan, Huzefa, Hamza, Advet, Atharva, and Adyant, has impressed the community and serves as a reminder of the courage of Shivaji Maharaj and his Mavlas. The initiative has inspired neighbours and residents to revisit traditional ways of celebrating festivals.
