Pune : Chinchwad Constituency to have 510 polling stations, Kasba to have 270

Pune: The by-polls have been announced for Chinchwad and Kasba constituencies for which the nomination forms will be accepted till February 7. As the preparations are on, the number of polling stations have been fixed for both the constituencies.

Based on the number of voters in the final voter list, 270 polling stations have been fixed for the Kasba Peth assembly constituency and 510 polling stations for the Chinchwad assembly constituency, informed Aarti Bhosale, Deputy District Election Officer.

The Special Brief Revision Program of Electoral Rolls was conducted from November 9, 2022. According to this, on January 5, 2023, the final voter list of all the assembly constituencies in the district was released.

Accordingly, Chinchwad assembly constituency has 5,66,415 voters of which 3,01,648 are male, 2,64,732 are female and 35 are transgenders. The number of voters has increased by 48,106 compared to the 2019 assembly elections.

The Kasba Peth Assembly Constituency has a total of 2,75,428 voters of which 1,36,873 are male, 1,38,550 are female and 5 are transgenders.  Compared to the 2019 assembly elections, the number of voters has decreased by 15,255.
