Pune: Construction Worker Falls Into Pit During Building Work; Rescued By Fire Brigade
Pune – On February 5, 2025, at 3:25 PM, a construction worker fell into a pit from a height while working on a building near Sharada Center, Khilare Road, Erandwane. Upon receiving the alert, a fire brigade vehicle was immediately dispatched from the Erandwane Fire Station.
On arrival, the firefighters found that the worker had fallen from a height of approximately 20-25 feet, and a metal rod had pierced through his shoulder. The team promptly used a ladder and hydraulic kit, carefully communicating with the injured worker to keep him calm. They cut the metal rod and safely lifted him out of the pit. The worker was then provided first aid by on-site doctors before being taken to the hospital in an ambulance. The entire rescue operation was completed in just 15 minutes.
The firefighting team included driver Sachin Kshirsagar, team leader Anant Jadhav, and firefighters Sachin Aivalle, Sagar Mundhe, Rahul Waghmode, Ashutosh Pingle, Nilesh Patil, Kamlesh Mane, and Sumit Kamble.
