Pune, Kharadi: A shocking crime has come to light in Pune’s Kharadi area, where a husband brutally murdered his wife by slashing her throat with a pair of scissors. The accused not only committed the heinous act but also recorded a video explaining his actions and shared it on social media, causing widespread outrage.
Details of the Incident:
The victim, identified as Jyoti Shivdas Gite, was killed at her residence in Kharadi during the early hours of Wednesday. The accused, Shivdas Tukaram Gite, who works as a stenographer at a court, has been arrested by the Chandannagar police.
According to the police, the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute. Shivdas attacked Jyoti with scissors used for tailoring and killed her in a fit of rage. Following the murder, he recorded a video with her body, detailing his reasons for the crime. In the video, he claimed that his wife was attempting to take over his property and had tried to harm him. He stated that he killed her in self-defense.
Investigations revealed that Shivdas Gite hails from Beed and was residing in the Kharadi area on rent. The couple reportedly had frequent arguments over personal matters, which escalated to this tragic end.
Police Action and Investigation:
The senior police inspector of Kharadi Police Station, Sanjay Chavan, is leading the investigation. The deceased’s body has been handed over to her family and sent to her native village for last rites.
