Pune, November 28, 2025: The Pune District Administration has announced a public holiday on December 2, 2025, to enable eligible voters to participate in the upcoming municipal council and Nagar Panchayat elections. This was confirmed by District Collector and District Election Officer, Jitendra Dudi.

The holiday will apply to voters in municipal councils and Nagar Panchayats across the district, including Alandi, Baramati, Bhor, Chakan, Daund, Fursungi-Uruli Devachi, Indapur, Jejuri, Junnar, Lonavala, Malegaon Budruk, Manchar, Rajgurunagar, Saswad, Shirur, Talegaon Dabhade, and Vadgaon.

The public holiday will also cover government offices, semi-government offices, public sector undertakings, and banks. Voters who may be outside their constituency for work will also be allowed to cast their votes.

District Collector Jitendra Dudi appealed to all eligible voters to exercise their democratic right and participate in the elections on December 2.
