Pune, July 3, 2025 – In a deeply disturbing incident that has shocked the city, a 25-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a man posing as a delivery boy in Kondhwa. The accused used pepper spray to overpower the victim before sexually assaulting her.
According to police sources, the accused gained access to a posh housing society in Kondhwa by pretending to be a delivery agent. He approached the victim’s flat around 7:30 PM on Wednesday and asked her to collect a courier. The woman, who was inside the house, responded from behind the safety door that she hadn’t ordered anything. At that point, the accused sprayed pepper spray on her face, forced his way in, and committed the heinous crime.
Shockingly, after the assault, the accused took a selfie using the woman’s phone and typed a message saying he “enjoyed it” and would return.
The woman, who lives with her brother, immediately informed the police. A rape case has been registered by Kondhwa Police, and the victim has been taken for a medical examination. The incident has sparked outrage and fear across the locality.
