Pune: Dispute Over Parking Leads To Clash In Vadgaon Sheri's Bramha Suncity Society Office, Two Injured
Pune, September 3, 2025: A routine management committee (MC) meeting in a housing society turned violent on Sunday after a dispute over illegal parking escalated inside the society office of Bramha Sun City.
According to residents, a member who has been at odds with the society management over parking violations and non-payment of maintenance dues allegedly barged into the office along with an accomplice during the MC meeting. The duo reportedly hurled defamatory remarks, behaved aggressively, and manhandled members of the committee, including women.
The confrontation soon turned into a physical scuffle, leaving several committee members and staff injured. Two committee members sustained serious injuries and required hospitalisation, with one of them receiving multiple stitches on the head.
Society representatives stated that the individual in question had a history of disputes with the management, including repeated instances of parking encroachments, damaging vehicle jammers, and misbehaving with security staff. Previous attempts to resolve the matter reportedly failed, and the issue had also been brought to the notice of the authorities.
An FIR has now been registered against the accused individuals under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The society’s management committee has asserted that such aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated and urged residents to address grievances in a civil manner within the framework of society bye-laws.
