Pune district collector holds meeting with Covid Task Force

A district level Covid Task force meeting was held in Pune.

Pune: Dr Rajesh Deshmukh has directed health officers from the district to speed up preventive measures and to review the preparedness of the systems as a precaution in the state and Pune district.

The meeting was held via video conferencing on Wednesday and it also included Ankit Goyal, Pune Rural Superintendent of Police, District Surgeon Nagnath Yampalle, and District Health Officer Dr. Bhagwan Pawar.

During the meeting Deshmukh has also directed officials to increase the number of vaccination booths which will help to connect more people.

Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh said, “Administrative and health systems in the district should remain prepared as per the instructions of the central government. If any damages are found in liquid oxygen storage tank, medical oxygen pipeline then it should be repaired immediately.”

Covid positive patients in Pune

Dr Pawar said, “There are 50 patients of Covid in Pune district and an average of 11 patients are recovering daily. The covid vaccination has been speed up at all the centers and so far a total of 1 crore 93 lakh 45 thousand 470  (1,93,4570) people has been vaccinated in the district.”

Among them 99,50, 418 (99 lakh 5 thousand 418) have taken the first doses, 84,59, 834 (84 lakh 59 thousand 834) people have taken the second dose and 9,80,218 (9 lakh 80 thousand 218) people have taken the booster dose.

Under the covid measures, 114 PSA oxygen plants and 109 liquid oxygen storage tanks are available in the district with a total capacity of 1,210 metric tonnes. 1,196 thousand 196 ventilators and 1,97 oxygen concentrators are available in the district.

A total of 5,401 isolation beds, 5,964 oxygen beds, 1,293 ICU beds are available in the district.
