Wakad : An incident of sexual assault on a female dog has come to light in Pimpri Chinchwad a case has been registered at the Hinjawadi police station recently a 10 month old puppy for the assault by a labourer, a resident of West Bengal the incident took place at construction site my home behind Hotel TipTop international on a ground floor on 16th July around 11:45 pm.
Lovlesh Ramprasad Tiwari, a Wakad resident informed the incident police station that the police have registered a case against Chiranjit Biswas a resident of West Bengal under the sections of prevention of cruelty to animals act of 1960. Tiwari works as a security guard in the under construction site. As per the police the complainant stated that the accused took the female puppy aged around 8 to 10 months to the ground floor of a construction building in My Home In Wakad. Taking advantage of the darkness the accused sexually assaulted the female pup. Senior police inspector Kanhaiya Thorat from Hinjawadi police station is investigating the case.
Anita Shetty, an animal activist from Hinjawadi to Pune Pulse that such incidents can be averted with prompt action by reporting them to the animal activists as well as the police station. Prompt action by the police can help in nabbing the culprits. In this case, the accused has been absconding since then.
Wakad Animal Rescue Group volunteers worked in this incident to report to the police. Citizens can take up any abuse or rescue cases to PFA or Nitesh Khare from SAS India who supports extensively in highlighting as well as putting up the cases with the police authorities, added Anita.
