Residents of Bhosale Nagar, Hadapsar are troubled by the daily, long pending civic issues like dug up roads, drainage related issues, water supply problems and more. Residents of Bhosale Nagar held a meeting on 25th February to discuss all issues amongst them.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Hemant Dhamdhere, Resident of Bhosale Nagar, Hadapsar, said “The PMC has dug up roads which are in good condition. Even if there is no work required, the roads are still being dug up, especially at night time. Hence, good roads are getting bad. The PMC keeps saying that they don’t have enough budget for works. Then why the roads get dug up? The roads are left in worst conditions. Also, the work doesn’t get completed & the roads are left in the dug-up state itself without planning. Water related issues are also there, drainage issues etc. Hence, several residents came together yesterday (25th February) in a residents’ meeting to discuss & take relevant steps for quick & relevant action about these.”

Adv K T Aru, Social Worker & Resident of Bhosale Nagar, Hadapsar, said “The people’s representatives of the entire Bhosale Nagar area have become ignorant. Roads are not in good condition. A badminton hall & a swimming pool was going to start for residents in the area. Its work is going on for the past 10 odd years. No progress is there as the work is stalled. Also, a PMC’s traditional center for people was going to start. However, due to repeated changes in its plan, its work is also stopped. This is simply wasting citizens’ property tax money. Garbage, water, road related issues etc are there. Bhosale Nagar is a standard area. However, all people’s representatives are simply ignoring the issues.”

Mauli Tupe, Resident of Bhosale Nagar, Hadapsar, said “There are no corporators in PMC. Hence, all issues & problems in Pune city are getting ignored & neglected. In Bhosale Nagar, a lot of issues like roads, water, garbage, drainage related and more are there. The entire Bhosale Nagar area is neglected & we are so much in distress. So, we residents had come together & held a meeting to voice all the issues.”

Balasaheb Patil, PMC Hadapsar – Mundhwa Ward Officer, said “We will approach the citizens, understand their grievances & take appropriate action.”
