Pune : Extra time to be allotted for answer sheet review after each board paper 

Students taking the board examinations for the secondary school certificate (SSC, Std X) and higher secondary certificate (HSC, Std XII) will get an additional 10 minutes after the exam paper to review their answer sheets, according to the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

In accordance with this new modification, the board declared the length of each paper.

In a statement, a senior Maharashtra State Board official said that students had been given 10 minutes prior to the exam’s scheduled start time. Ten minutes beforehand, they received their question papers to review and get ready. However, after multiple instances of these quizzes going viral on social media, the practice was eventually discontinued.

According to the board’s statement, it was decided to grant an additional 10 minutes after the scheduled end time in light of the benefit to students and the demand from parents to the state board.

Exams are conducted in two sessions, according to the official: one in the morning at 11 a.m. and one in the afternoon at 3 p.m. For both sessions, students are expected to arrive in the exam room half an hour early.
