Pune, August 29, 2025: The Yerawada police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against two well-known eateries in Kalyaninagar for allegedly running operations without obtaining the required “change of use” permission from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). The complaint, registered on Tuesday, invokes Sections 52 and 53 of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning (MRTP) Act against the owners and other responsible parties.

According to PMC’s building development department, both establishments were operating adjacent to Joggers’ Park without proper authorization, converting the premises for commercial purposes such as pubs and restaurants. Civic officials stated that despite repeated inspections and notices, the eateries continued functioning in violation of the rules.

Assistant Inspector Mahesh Lamkhede is leading the investigation.
