Pune: Fire Breaks Out At Paint Warehouse In Mantarwadi
Pune: At 2:02 a.m. on October 29, 2024, a report of a fire at a paint warehouse in Mantarwadi was received by Pune’s fire control room, prompting an immediate response. Firefighters arrived to find the 15,700-square-foot facility with 10-foot-high walls engulfed in flames. Ensuring no one was inside, the crew tackled the fire from all sides and contained it within an hour, maintaining cooling operations.

The fire, fueled by industrial and household paint, bent metal beams, and destroyed two tempos, two bikes, air conditioning units, furniture, and computers. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Around 50 personnel, including officers Pramod Sonawane and Anil Gaikwad, participated in the operation with support from various fire stations and private tankers. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown.
