Pune: Fire Breaks Out at Warehouse Near Krishnanagar Crematorium in Mohammadwadi; Four Huts and Two-Wheelers Damaged
Pune, March 7, 2026: A fire broke out at a warehouse and four adjacent huts near the Krishnanagar crematorium in Mohammadwadi during the early hours of Saturday. The incident occurred around 4:30 am, causing significant damage to household belongings and four two-wheelers parked nearby.
According to officials, residents quickly responded to the emergency and managed to remove two LPG cylinders from the spot in time, preventing a potentially major explosion and further damage.
The Pune Fire Brigade rushed to the location soon after receiving the alert and brought the blaze under control. Their timely action helped prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the damage and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
Local residents appreciated the prompt response of the fire department, which ensured the situation was contained without any casualties.
