The recent surge in tree felling incidents is believed to be caused by heavy rains that lashed Pune yesterday evening. The department recorded 12 incidents of tree falling in the last 12 hours alone, resulting in a total of 43 incidents from yesterday evening to this morning. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in any of the incidents.

Pune Fire Brigade Department has been actively responding to these tree felling incidents, dispatching teams to the affected areas to clear the fallen trees and ensure the safety of the public. They have urged residents to remain cautious during such weather conditions and report any tree-related emergencies promptly.

Tree felling can be a serious concern as it not only poses a risk to life and property but also has environmental implications. Trees play a crucial role in maintaining the ecological balance and contribute to mitigating climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. Therefore, it is important to prioritize tree conservation and take necessary precautions to prevent tree felling incidents, especially during adverse weather conditions.
