Pune Fire News : Major disaster averted in Parge Nagar

In an unfortunate event today afternoon, a Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL) gas pipeline broke in Parge Nagar, in Kondhwa. 

The pipeline broke near Parge Nagar when an under construction site took up the work of digging the road when the digging machines allegedly caused a break into the pipeline. 

An MNGL official from the area confirmed the incident and stated that the fire is now under control and contained. Since the location was isolated there was no major suspension of service. The fire is contained completely and residents need not worry now.Spraying of water was immediately carried out in the area. 

Former MLA Mahadev Babar told Pune Pulse that the fire broke out in one of the gas pipelines in Parge Nagar area in Kondhwa. It was immediately extinguished by spraying water over it. There was no injury reported in the incident. Â
