Pune: First Stage Of Bajaj Pune Grand Tour 2026 To Be Held On January 20, Covers 91.8 km
Pune, January 19, 2026: The district administration has completed extensive preparations for Stage One of the international cycling event, the Bajaj Pune Grand Tour 2026, which will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
The first stage will begin at 1:30 pm from TCS Circle in Hinjewadi and conclude at Dr D. Y. Patil International Institute in Akurdi.
The entire race route, passing through Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits as well as parts of Mulshi and Maval talukas, has been thoroughly inspected by the administration to ensure smooth conduct of the event. The international cycling tour has been organised with the objective of showcasing the districtās tourism potential on a global platform, boosting the local economy, and creating employment opportunities for local youth.
The total distance of the first stage is 91.8 kilometres. Cyclists will proceed from TCS Circle, Hinjewadi Phase 3, through ManāAmbavade village gate, Paud, Chale, Nandgaon, Kolvan, Hadshi Lake, Javan, Tikona Peth, Kale, Kadhe, Thugav, Shivane, Done, Savale Chowk, Adhale Budruk, Bebad Ohla, Chandanwadi, Chandkhed, Kasarsai, Nere, Marunji, Laxmi Chowk, Bhumkar Chowk, Dange Chowk and Shri Sant Namdev Maharaj Chowk before reaching the finishing point at Akurdi around 4 pm.
In view of the event, traffic diversions will be implemented along the race route, and certain roads may be temporarily closed for specific durations. The district administration has appealed to citizens to follow official advisories and cooperate with authorities to ensure the successful and safe conduct of the prestigious cycling event.
