A shocking incident unfolded in a school in Pune’s Manjari area, where a 15-year-old 9th-grade student was attacked with a piece of glass by a fellow student during a dispute in the classroom about the upcoming annual function. The altercation resulted in severe injuries to the victim, who is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The Hadapsar Police have registered a case of attempted murder against the juvenile. The victim, a 9th-grade student, had a dispute with his classmate regarding the arrangements for the school’s annual event. On Tuesday, November 19, around 2:30 PM, while the victim was seated in class, the accused approached him from behind and attacked him with a shard of glass, targeting his neck. The sudden assault left the victim seriously injured and caused panic among the students in the classroom.

Following the attack, the accused also threatened the victim, warning him with further harm. Teachers and school staff quickly acted, rushing the injured student to a private hospital for immediate medical attention.

The police, led by Senior Inspector Santosh Pandhare and Assistant Inspector Dadasaheb Rokde, visited the scene and began investigations. The accused has been detained, and a case has been filed at Hadapsar police station.
