Pune: Illicit Liquor Operation Busted In Wadachiwadi, Over 16,000 Liters Seized By Kalepadal Police Officials
Pune, December 9, 2024: Police raided an illicit liquor manufacturing setup in Wadachiwadi near the Katraj-Kondhwa bypass road, seizing 4,340 liters of homemade liquor and 12,000 liters of chemical used in its production. The total confiscated material is valued at ₹9.27 lakh.
The raid, conducted by Kale Padal Police, led to the arrest of two individuals: Jagdish Bhairulal Prajapati (24) of Kale Padal and Gulab Sampkal Rajput (33) of Holkarwadi. The suspects have been booked at the Kondhwa police station under relevant charges. Police received a tip-off about illicit liquor being manufactured near a stream in Wadachiwadi. Acting on this information, a team led by Assistant Inspector Amit Shete and Sub-Inspector Anil Nimbalkar conducted the operation under the supervision of Assistant Police Commissioner Dhanyakumar Godse and Senior Inspector Mansing Patil.
Authorities seized 124 cans of liquor, 12,000 liters of raw materials, and two mobile phones during the raid. Investigations are underway to identify other individuals involved in the operation.
