Pune: PMC to approach High Court for resolving water due issues
After the implementation of the Code of Conduct for the Lok Sabha Elections, there has been a rush of transfers of officers who have come on deputation in the Pune Municipal Corporation. Today (21st), the state government transferred Deputy Commissioner of Circle Santosh Warule, Asha Raut and Deputy Commissioner of Sports and Culture Chetna Kerure. While there is a commotion in the municipal corporation to finish the works before March 31, the work has been affected due to the transfer of officers.
The Election Commission has ordered the state government to transfer officers who have worked in a district for more than three years. Accordingly, the officers who have come on deputation from the service of the state government are being transferred in the Pune Municipal Corporation. Warule, Raut and Kerure have been transferred.
Additional Commissioner Vikas Dhakane was transferred a few days ago. Commissioner Rajendra Bhosale, Additional Commissioner and Prithviraj BP has taken charge of the Municipal Corporation just a few days ago as additional commissioner and currently they are taking information department wise.
By the end of the financial year on 31st March, the contractors must approve the bills for the works done and deposit the money. For this, a ruckus is going on in the municipal building along with the regional office. But the process of transfer of key officers, giving their duties to other officers is going on. But it has affected the work.
After Rajendra Bhosle took charge of the post of commissioner, the department heads held a meeting and reviewed the work in the city. In this meeting, when the commissioner asked the senior officials of the municipal service for information about the minor nature of their department, the officials could not tell this. Therefore, the commissioner expressed his displeasure at the indifference of the officials and ordered to improve the work. There has been a lot of discussion in this tree felling administration.
