Important Notice: Increased Water Discharge from Dams
Date: 4th August 2024

Varasgaon Dam
The discharge from the Varasgaon Dam into the Mutha River has been increased. As of 11:00 AM, the discharge rate has been raised from 7703 cusecs to 9885 cusecs, with an additional 600 cusecs being released via the power house, making the total discharge 10485 cusecs. Please note that this rate is subject to change as needed.

Khadakwasla Dam
The discharge from the Khadakwasla Dam into the Mutha River has been increased from 29414 cusecs to 35002 cusecs as of 11:00 AM. Adjustments to this rate may occur as necessary.

Mulshi Dam
The discharge from the Mulshi Dam into the Mula River, currently at 24,745 cusecs, will be increased to 27,282 cusecs at 1:00 PM.

Warasgaon Dam

  • Rainfall: 76 mm
  • Total Rainfall: 1,839 mm
  • Total Storage: 11.81 TMC
  • Capacity: 92.14%
  • Water Level: 637.75 meters

Temghar Dam

  • Rainfall: 115 mm
  • Total Rainfall: 2,856 mm
  • Total Storage: 3.69 TMC
  • Capacity: 99.55%
  • Water Level: 706.40 meters

Overall Inflow and Storage:

  • Total Inflow for all four dams: 2,391 mcft
  • Total Storage in the four dams: 26.99 TMC (92.58% of total capacity)
  • Last Year Total Storage: 24.67 TMC (84.63% of capacity)

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and will adjust water releases as necessary to manage rising water levels and mitigate potential flooding risks.
