Pune, March 16, 2026: Demonstrating a strong commitment to social upliftment and community welfare, the Kalpataru Cultural Association successfully organized a meaningful initiative aimed at supporting education for underprivileged students and promoting essential hygiene awareness among young girls.

The program was held at Dr. Dada Gujar Secondary and Higher Secondary School, an institution run by Maharashtra Arogya Mandal, bringing together educators, community leaders, students, and volunteers united by a shared goal of creating opportunities for a better future.

Education remains one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty. Recognizing this, Kalpataru Cultural Association has been consistently working to ensure that financial hardship does not deprive deserving students of their right to learn. Last year, the association supported 10 deserving students in overcoming financial barriers to continue their education. Building on the success of this initiative, the association expanded its outreach this year by adopting 17 financially underprivileged students, providing them with comprehensive academic support for the entire school year.

Under this initiative, the students will receive complete school fee support, two sets of school uniforms, school bags, and essential books and stationery, ensuring that they can pursue their studies with dignity, confidence, and equal opportunity.

The event was graced by Anurag Anand, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of collective social responsibility and appreciated the dedicated efforts of Kalpataru Cultural Association in empowering young minds through education.

The school’s Principal, Patil Sir, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the association and its partners for their continued commitment toward the welfare and educational development of the students. During the program, Kalpataru Cultural Association also presented a cheque to Dr. Dada Gujar Secondary and Higher Secondary School, further strengthening the support extended to the institution.

In addition to educational assistance, the event also addressed another critical social need — awareness about women’s health and hygiene. As part of the Women’s Day Month, a Hygiene Awareness Session was organized for 26 girls from Standard 11, focusing on the importance of maintaining proper personal hygiene, particularly during adolescence.

The session was conducted by Dr. Avhad from Sumatibai Shah Ayurved Mahavidyalay, who provided valuable medical guidance on women’s hygiene, health awareness, and the importance of informed self-care. Each participating student was also provided with women’s hygiene kits, ensuring they have access to essential resources that support their health, dignity, and well-being.

The event concluded with the distribution of small food boxes to all attendees, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere for everyone present.

The Kalpataru Cultural Association extended heartfelt thanks to all its members whose dedication, generosity, and collective effort made this socially impactful initiative possible. Their shared vision of empowering communities through education and awareness continues to drive such meaningful programs.
