Beginning the New Year by honouring the Pune Police was our heartfelt way of expressing our appreciation. As residents of Kalyani Nagar, we witness daily how the police work tirelessly, often at great personal sacrifice, to keep our neighbourhoods and the entire city safe. Along with presenting Lord Ganesha to Commissioner Shri Amitesh Kumar, we also offered a shawl as a mark of respect and appreciation for the selfless service of the police force. The Lord Ganesha idol symbolised our collective prayer that the force is always protected, guided, and strengthened, just as they protect us with courage and dedication. This gesture is not just ceremonial; it reflects our deep respect and our belief that a safe Pune can only be built when citizens and police stand together in trust, appreciation, and cooperation. – Monica Sharma, Kalyani Nagar resident.
“We are very thankful to Amitesh Kumar Ji for taking cognisance of our issues and ensuring that our concerns like noise pollution, open drinking and general nuisance by drunk party goers were addressed and resolved. Residents have seen a marked difference in the curbing of these issues which has in turn led to peace in the neighborhood, ” said Yasmin Charania.
