Pune : Kendriya Vidyalaya on Ganeshkhind road holds exhibition on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy

Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India, on June 18th in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ganeshkhind, Pune inaugurated the Exhibition on Foundational Literacy & Numeracy.
                                 
 This Exhibition was Of TLMs Used For FLN Activities” ,under Janbhagidari . In this event the Chief Guest Shri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Govt. Of India joined by Ms. Prachi Pandey, IA & AS, Joint Secretary, Department Of School Education and Literacy, Govt. Of India and Vice Chairperson KVS along with Ms. Nidhi Pandey, Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi were welcomed by  Ms. Sona Seth, Deputy Commissioner, KVS. Venue Principal, Ms. Shabana Khan, and all the Principals and HMs, of several KVs of Pune were also present for the event. The cultural program was presented by the students of neighbouring Kendriya Vidyalayas.

The  chief guest Shri Sanjay Kumar, inaugurated the exhibition where a number of gadgets prepared by the students and teachers were displayed.
            
Ms. Sona Seth, Deputy Commissioner K.V. S. Mumbai Region accorded the ‘Green Welcome’ to the dignitaries. It was followed by the Welcome address by Nidhi Pandey, Commissioner K.V.S, New Delhi, in her short address expressed her commitment to FLN by mapping of the students with various parameters and realigning the teaching strategies to suit the special needs of the learners. She also emphasized that the students should be taught to handle their own physical and emotional well-being. Ms. Prachi Pandey, IA & AS, Joint Secretary, Department Of School Education and Literacy, Govt. Of India in her address stressed the need of data collection & analysis to be integrated with new technology within modern learning.

The chief-guest Shri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Govt. Of India in his addressal pointed out the need to make the teaching-learning process a joyful everyday activity. He emphasized that teachers should play such a role that they bring about a positive change in the lives of their students. He also appealed to the teachers to encourage students to ask more and more questions emboldening their curiosities. Samaj V. Joglekar proposed the vote of thanks.
