Over one hundred passengers traveling to Kolkata via Bhubaneswar on an Air Asia flight were left stranded at the Pune airport on Friday afternoon due to a delay of approximately five hours.

As per the information provided, the scheduled departure time from Pune was 4.35pm, but the flight eventually took off around 9pm, arriving in Kolkata at approximately 1.30am on Saturday.

One user wrote on X, ‘@AVA_airasia @AirIndiaX @airindia Flight no I5320 PNR K4J4MW got delayed by 5 hrs & will reach to Kolkata from Pune @1.30AM no support from AIR ASIA from the counter had been extended rather requested to escalate for complaint if desired. Very unfortunate.’

Many passengers claimed they were not informed about the delay and had arrived at the airport early in anticipation of the flight.

One passenger expressed frustration, stating, an email inquiry regarding the delay sent to the airline did not receive a response at the time of this report. In response to a complaint from one passenger on X, the airline attributed the delay to operational reasons.
